Freshfields Hong Kong office runs a US Summer Associate Programme lasting 10 to 12 weeks to give second-year US juris doctor (JD) candidates real-life skills to start their career.
This is a chance to work alongside our lawyers, gaining experience on projects and transactions. You’ll be based in Hong Kong and assist the US team advising firms investing in China, or Chinese enterprises doing business in the US.
What to expect
If it’s an influential landmark deal, it often has our name behind it. We top the league tables in Asia, Europe and the US.
Our understanding of Chinese business culture and regulations offers JDs a platform to learn about the region.
While openings for JDs in our Hong Kong office are few, the career opportunities for you at Freshfields exceed those offered by other international firms.
