New York-based M&A partners Sebastian Fain and Sanjay Murti have been named to Forbes America’s Top Lawyers list for 2025. The Top Lawyers list recognizes attorneys who have distinguished themselves through notable deals and transactions, impressive trial work, wise counsel, respect from colleagues, arbiters and clients.

A leading U.S. and cross border dealmaker, Sebastian has advised clients all over the world on some of their most important transactions, including advising AstraZeneca in a string of multi-billion-dollar transactions, such as its $39 billion acquisition of Alexion Pharmaceuticals, the largest acquisition of a U.S. company and the largest healthcare M&A deal globally in the year it was announced. He recently advised SERB Pharmaceuticals on its take-private of Y-mAbs Therapeutics, Inc.

Forbes noted that Sanjay has “worked on some of the biggest and most transformative M&A transactions of our time, domestically and cross-border.” This year, Sanjay represented Celsius on its $1.8bn acquisition of Alani Nutrition LLC and its series of strategic transactions with Pepsico.
