Freshfields advises Dürr on promissory note loan placement
Global law firm Freshfields advised Dürr AG on the successful placement of a promissory note loan totaling €200m. The proceeds from the issuance will be used for general corporate financing.
The Dürr Group is a leading global manufacturer of machinery and equipment with particular expertise in the technology fields of automation, digitalization, and energy efficiency. Its products, systems, and services enable highly efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes—primarily in the automotive industry, among manufacturers of furniture and wooden houses, as well as in the assembly of medical and electrical products and in battery production.
The promissory note loan was significantly oversubscribed and comprises tranches with maturities of four, six, seven, and eight years, as well as fixed and variable interest rates. With this transaction, the Dürr Group secures long-term financing and improves the maturity profile of its debt.
A Freshfields team led by Frankfurt partner Nina Heym advised on the financing. She has previously advised Dürr on various financing matters, including promissory note loans.
