Freshfields advises Behavox on Apiax acquisition
Global law firm Freshfields has advised Behavox, the AI-native controls platform for global banks, asset managers, hedge funds and commodity firms, on its acquisition of Apiax.
Zurich-based Apiax is a provider of embedded compliance software that converts financial regulation into machine-readable rules used inside firms' own systems.
The acquisition continues Behavox's expansion in Europe and extends its platform into cross-border and content compliance and complements Pathfinder, its regulatory change management product.
The Freshfields team advising Behavox was led by London partner Rhys Evans and associates Jo Lee, Jennifer Okokye, Megan Rodgers and David Timofanovici.
The transaction has closed. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Freshfields also recently advised Behavox on its $175m preferred equity investment from HPS Investment Partners earlier this year.
