Freshfields Advises Arcline on its US$535m Acquisition of Continental Aerospace Technologies
Freshfields is advising Arcline Investment Management on its proposed acquisition of Continental Aerospace Technologies, from Hong Kong-listed Continental Aerospace Technologies Holding Limited (Stock Code: 232) for approximately US$535 million.
Arcline is a US-based, growth-oriented private equity firm with over US$30 billion in assets under management.
Founded in 1905 and headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, Continental is a leading designer and manufacturer of piston aircraft engines and provider of related aftermarket products and services for the general aviation market.
Arcline’s acquisition of substantially all of the seller’s assets triggers the application of the Hong Kong Takeovers Code and regulatory oversight by the Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong over the transaction.
The transaction draws on Freshfields’ cross-border M&A capabilities, combining sector expertise in aerospace & defense with our ability to deploy fully integrated, multi-jurisdictional teams in support of US sponsor clients navigating complex global transactions.
