Lena is a member of our data and technology practice group. She advises national and international clients on all legal matters relating to new technologies, data, IT and cyber security, as well as media law.
Her practice focuses on the design and roll‑out of technology‑ and data‑driven projects and on negotiating all types of agreements in the digital context. She also advises on data protection, platform regulation, and all aspects of copyright and media law.
In addition, she has experience advising on M&A transactions, in particular on commercial AI and IT matters, cybersecurity, and data privacy compliance.
Before joining Freshfields, Lena worked as a research assistant at the Research Center for Information Systems Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel, where she focused on interdisciplinary, technology‑related research, in particular platform regulation and the legally compliant design and use of new technologies.
Lena speaks German and English.
