Marie represents German and international clients in complex domestic and cross-border commercial litigation.
Marie advises international tech companies on liability and litigation risks arising from new regulatory frameworks. This covers proceedings against the respective regulators and their actions, as well as all stages of private enforcement, including pre-litigation and litigation. She also has extensive experience in defending clients against mass claims including against model declaratory actions and in developing successful cross-border litigation strategies. Marie has particular expertise in the strategic defence of mass claims in the automotive and financial sectors.

- Advising an international tech company on its cross-border litigation strategy.
- Defending a group investment company against a model declaratory action brought by the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv) and obtaining a dismissive landmark judgment for the debt collection industry before the Federal Court of Justice.
- Representing an online service provider in a model declaratory action on the validity of termination and contract renewal clauses and obtaining a dismissive landmark judgment before the Federal Court of Justice.
- Defending Zurich Insurance on the civil, regulatory and insolvency law issues arising from Zurich's position as insolvency protection insurer of the insolvent German Thomas Cook companies. In particular, we defend Zurich against legal actions brought by the Federal Republic of Germany and by some travellers with regard to Zurich’s (partial) compensation payments to travellers.
