Maria Kern

Maria is a member of our energy regulatory practice group. She advises clients in the energy sector on all national and international legal issues.

Maria supports companies in relation to energy regulatory issues and challenges, e.g. in relation to the interpretation and implementation of changes in law. She also frequently advises clients on the drafting, negotiation and conclusion of energy trading and supply contracts. In this context, she also advises clients on the regulatory framework for the promotion of renewable energies (under national law and European legislation), on emissions trading as well as in the context of projects for a successful energy transition.

Maria also represents energy companies in civil disputes before ordinary courts and in arbitration proceedings. In addition, Maria frequently advises on M&A transactions and international projects in the energy sector.
