About

Brianna is a Senior Associate in Freshfields’ international arbitration group, based in New York.

Brianna is trained in common and civil law and specializes in international law and arbitration. She focuses her practice on disputes in Latin America and has acted in investment treaty arbitrations in English and Spanish conducted under the ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules. In addition, she is an active member of the firm’s pro bono practice and part of the Secretariat of Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI). She previously served as a rapporteur for the ICCA-IBA Joint Task Force on Data Protection in International Arbitration Proceedings.

Brianna speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

  • Representing South32 SA Investments Limited in ICSID annulment proceedings commenced by Colombia after Freshfields secured a precedent-setting ICSID award which granted South32's request for indemnities valued at over US$277.4 million and ordered Colombia to pay historical damages and costs
