Jan is a Counsel in our Frankfurt office focusing on M&A in the financial services sector
He joined Freshfields in 2017 and has worked on numerous M&A transactions for banks and financial institutions across Europe. He was seconded to JP Morgan in 2020 and has also worked in the firm's New York, Brussels and Hamburg offices.
Jan is a German-qualified lawyer and trained banker. He holds business and law degrees from Germany and the UK, including a doctorate in law from Heidelberg University and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. He is a lecturer for business law at the Hamburg School of Business Administration.
