Andrew has a broad-ranging practice that includes advising clients on the pensions and employment aspects of corporate transactions, and distressed and insolvency situations.
His recent experience includes advising employers on employee consultation and other business transfer-related issues, and negotiating the employment and pensions aspects of complex cross-border deals across all sectors including pharmaceuticals, financial services, private equity and manufacturing.
Andrew is an experienced pensions lawyer but also leads transactions in which employment-related matters are equally important.
Although his work has a significant transactional element, Andrew also advises clients on a broad range of other pension-related (and often high-value) advisory matters, including pension scheme de-risking transactions and pensions litigation.
He also has experience in pension scheme investment work and funds management, having previously worked in a senior legal role for a leading financial institution, and of a wide range of pensions disputes.
Andrew regularly participates in industry forums as a guest speaker. He has presented papers to the Law Council of Australia, the Association of Pensions Lawyers and the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association.
