  • SIXT on multiple financings, incl. a revolving €1.55bn syndicated loan facility;
  • Merck on various financings, incl. a €2.5bn syndicated credit facility, including a €1bn swingline facility; as well as on the acquisition financing of SpringWorks Therapeutics;
  • Fresenius on a €2bn syndicated credit facility;

Bank/Bond/TLB

  • Schön Klinik on its aggregate €865m financing transaction, including the repricing of a €350m term loan B tranche, combined with an upsize in an amount of €335m; as well as on a €575m syndicated financing;
  • Grünenthal Pharma on a €500m amend and extend financing transaction; and
  • Commerzbank on the refinancing of the existing Super Senior RCF financing of WEPA Group.

Stabilisation & guarantee packages

  • SEFE - advised KfW on a revolving credit line of up to €13.8bn for SEFE Securing Energy to secure gas supplies in Germany;
  • VNG - advised KfW on t a revolving credit line for VNG AG for margining purposes against the background of volatile gas and energy markets;
  • Uniper - advised KfW on stabilisation measures and the increase of revolving credit lines up to €18bn for Uniper SE;
  • Lausitz Energie Kraftwerke AG (LEAG) in connection with a €5.5bn stabilisation package provided by KfW and fully secured by the Federal Republic of Germany;
  • Deutsche Lufthansa - advised Deutsche Bank on the €9bn financing to Deutsche Lufthansa, part of it was provided by KfW (Covid19 pandemic).

Financial restructurings

  • Meyer Werft on its financial restructuring and increase of its bridge financing provided by a consortium of banks and secured by a guarantee from the state of Lower Saxony;
  • Webasto - advised the lenders, led by Bayerische Landesbank, UniCredit and EIB, on the successful financial restructuring of the Webasto group;
  • LEONI - advised the lenders on the restructuring of €1.6bn of debt;
  • ARRI - advised Bayerische Landesbank on the financial restructuring of ARRI; and
  • BOS - advised LBBW on the financial restructuring of BOS Group.

Projects & infrastructure financings

  • KfW on a revolving credit line of up to €24bn for H2 Amortisationskonto GmbH;
  • Alpen Glasfaser on a €417.5m infrastructure financing, consisting of capex term facilities and a revolving facility which are provided by a syndicate of six major Austrian, German and French banks; and
  • Deutsche Telekom in connection with the €2.15bn capex and revolving credit facilities for Glasfaserplus and the roll-out of its fibre-network in Germany.
