I joined Freshfields in 2015, and in my first years mainly dealt with bank resolution law and banking crises, including “bad banks.” We were often navigating uncharted legal territory, which led me to write a dissertation based on my work at Freshfields.

Dissertation support

Freshfields’ support during my dissertation project was invaluable. I was allowed to take a year’s leave of absence shortly after my Austrian bar exam to work on my dissertation. Both the firm’s internal library and my colleagues were always on hand to offer advice and support. To be honest, I don’t think this path would have been possible without the support of Freshfields. The firm’s environment fosters personal growth and supports the diverse interests of its employees.
