Helen Ouseley

Helen Ouseley is Freshfields’ Global Head of Culture & Community, leading the firm’s initiatives to foster an inclusive and supportive culture where all individuals can thrive, and our efforts to engage in the communities in which we work. With a deep commitment to fairness and collaboration Helen has overseen the evolution of our efforts as we seek to create positive impact with our clients, colleagues and in the community.  

Helen’s career in HR began after she graduated from Leeds University and spent 14 months travelling, which deepened her appreciation for different cultures. She has since completed a Masters in HR and worked at Baker McKenzie and Goldman Sachs, focusing on talent attraction, retention and development and leading initiatives that drive meaningful change. 

Helen’s work extends beyond Freshfields, collaborating with clients to offer training and advice across sectors. Helen is committed to understanding individual experiences of work culture, to ensure diverse voices are represented and everyone feels valued and supported as the workplace continues to evolve.
