Freshfields advises Phoenix Tower International on a $6.5bn financing

Global law firm Freshfields has advised Phoenix Tower International (“PTI”), a leading global provider of wireless communications infrastructure, on the Spanish law matters of its $6.5bn multi-jurisdiction financing. The deal sets a new benchmark as the largest financing of its kind for a privately held tower company.
The financing will be used to refinance PTI's existing debt, including financings on which Freshfields previously advised PTI, and to fund future investments and acquisitions, as well as the group's general corporate purposes.
The Freshfields team was led by partner Ana López, alongside associates Inés Colás and Raquel Cuesta (all Finance, Madrid).
