Freshfields appoints leading mass claims and commercial law litigator Christine Vreede in Amsterdam as partner

Global law firm Freshfields has today announced the appointment of Christine Vreede as a litigation partner in its Dispute Resolution practice in Amsterdam, enhancing the firm’s offering to its global clients on complex litigation, mass claims and class actions.

Vreede is a class actions and commercial litigation specialist with over 20 years of experience advising on complex, high value disputes. She represents multinational corporates, financial institutions, private capital firms and companies across sectors.  

The Netherlands is one of Europe's most active class action jurisdictions and Freshfields has been at the centre of it. The mass claims practice has shaped the law through landmark proceedings, advised clients across borders without the friction of working through multiple firms, and built a reputation in the Amsterdam market for combining high-end strategic thinking with a direct, no- nonsense approach that works when the stakes are highest. The arrival of Christine Vreede completes that picture.
