Freshfields advises Charterhouse Capital Partners on its acquisition of Batibig
Global law firm Freshfields has advised Charterhouse Capital Partners (“Charterhouse”), one of the longest-established private equity firms operating in Europe, on its entry into exclusive negotiations with the existing shareholders for the acquisition of a majority stake in Batibig, a leading B2B provider of emergency building repairs, maintenance, and renovation services in France.
Charterhouse will invest in partnership with Batibig’s co-founders, Charles and Justin Bignon, who will continue to lead the business alongside the existing management team. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval.
Founded in 2005, Batibig has built a leading position in the French market with more than €500m in revenue through a differentiated multi-service, multi-regional platform offering customers a single point of contact for emergency repairs, maintenance and renovation works for residential and commercial buildings. Batibig operates through a network of companies across France and employs over 2,000 people, carrying out more than 300,000 interventions annually.
