Freshfields advises mandated lead arrangers on financing for SGB-SMIT Group
Global law firm Freshfields advised Citibank, J.P. Morgan, Barclays, UniCredit Bank and HSBC as mandated lead arrangers in connection with a fund-to-fund acquisition financing and refinancing of SGB-SMIT Group, a portfolio company of One Equity Partners. The financing consists of a €940m Term Loan B, €275m bonding facility and €75m RCF.
SGB-SMIT is a leading independent global pure-play manufacturer of a broad range of transformers for utilities, grid operators, renewable energy OEMs and industrial clients. These products include large and medium power transformers, dry-type transformers, distribution transformers, and associated services.
