Freshfields advises on the US$706m Chuangxin Industries listing on HKSE
Global law firm Freshfields has advised China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited, Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited and the underwriters, on the Hong Kong and US law aspects of Chuangxin Industries Holdings Limited’s US$706m ordinary share listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This is the 13th Hong Kong listing completed by our Asia Equity Capital Markets team this year.
Chuangxin Industries is a business enterprise focused on alumina refining and aluminum smelting with the upstream of the aluminum industry chain. Its business mainly comprises the production and sales of electrolytic aluminum as well as alumina and other related types of products. According to CRU, Chuangxin Industries’ aluminum smelter in Huolinguole, Inner Mongolia, was the fourth-largest production base of electrolytic aluminum in terms of production output in 2024 in North China and Chuangxin Industries was the twelfth-largest electrolytic aluminum producer in terms of production output in 2024 in China.
