Global law firm Freshfields is advising Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (‘CPP Investments’) on the recommended cash offer for Spectris PLC (‘Spectris’) by a consortium led by Advent International, in which CPP Investments (acting through its wholly-owned subsidiary, CPP Investment Board Private Holdings (4) Inc.) is a provider of equity finance.
Spectris is a high-quality precision measurement, instrumentation and testing company focusing on two high-performance divisions, each of which provides and develops distinct, market-leading technologies and solutions.
The recommended cash offer was announced on Monday 23 June reflecting an offer that values the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Spectris at approximately £3.8 billion and implies an enterprise value of approximately £4.4 billion.
