Freshfields advises Castello SGR on the refinancing of its real estate portfolio

Freshfields advised Castello SGR, as management company of the Italian investment real estate Fund Star, in connection with a €170m financing made available by a pool of banks having the purpose to refinance the real estate portfolio of Fund Star consisting in various hotels located in Italy.

The multidisciplinary Freshfields team was led by the managing partner Francesco Lombardo, with support from the senior associate Andrea Giaretta and Costanza Avara.

The real estate profiles of the transactions have been dealt with by the counsel Nicola Franceschina, the associate Emanuele Cossa and Alberto Biondo (Milan office).

The corporate aspects of the transaction were provided by the senior associate Giulio Politi with the associate Domitilla D’Ambra (Milan office).

The tax aspects were followed by counsel Toni Marciante, senior associate Costanza Cascone and associate Giuseppe Brero (Milan Office).
