Freshfields advised Cycleurope France on the sale of its Gitane and Peugeot Cycles brands

Global law firm Freshfields advised Cycleurope France, a leading player in the mobility sector, on the sale of its production site and activities for Gitane bicycles and Peugeot Cycles in France to Rebirth, an electric bicycle specialist.

As part of this sale, Rebirth also acquired the affiliates network Velo & Oxygen shops, which specialise in the sale and repair of bicycles. Rebirth took over all 150 employees of Cycleurope Industries and committed to pursuing the project initiated by the Grimaldi group, the previous owner.
