Freshfields announced today that Connie Forkner has joined the firm’s global antitrust, competition and trade practice as special counsel in Washington, DC. Connie’s arrival underscores the continued strategic growth of the firm’s U.S. antitrust litigation group after the key additions of leading antitrust litigators Heather Lamberg and Justina Sessions last year.
Connie brings more than 20 years of litigation experience to Freshfields. She has represented Fortune 100 clients in federal and state antitrust litigation and investigations brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Having appeared in federal and state courts and arbitrations across the U.S., Connie has significant experience in antitrust litigation, including cases involving reverse payments, alleged price fixing, and monopolization.
Eric Mahr, Joint Head of Freshfields’ Global Antitrust Litigation Group, noted, “Connie has litigated some of the most cutting-edge antitrust cases in recent years, making her an invaluable addition to our team. As the threat of antitrust enforcement continues to rise here and abroad, Connie’s skills will be critical in helping our clients navigate the shifting legal landscape.”
“I am thrilled to join Freshfields’ outstanding team of leading antitrust litigators. I look forward to contributing to the firm’s position as global market leader in antitrust/competition law,” added Connie.
