The 2023 Women in Business Law Awards recognized Freshfields Global Co-Head of International Arbitration and Co-Head of Latin America Practice Noiana Marigo as Commercial Arbitration Lawyer of the Year and senior associate Paige von Mehren as Arbitration Rising Star. They were awarded at the Women in Business Law Awards dinner in New York on June 8th.

Freshfields also had three other lawyers shortlisted for awards. Amna Arshad was shortlisted for Aviation Lawyer of the Year, Vinita Kailasanath was shortlisted for Life Sciences Lawyer of the Year, and Andrea Merediz Basham was shortlisted for Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyer of the Year.

The Women in Business Law Americas Awards celebrates the most ground-breaking achievements by the region's leading women lawyers as well as the most progressive law firms and in-house teams in terms of their gender policies, advocacy, and support of women in the practice of law.
