Freshfields Awarded the 2023 MCCA Approved Platinum Seal
Freshfields is honored to have been awarded the 2023 Minority Corporate Counsel Association's (MCCA) Approved Platinum Seal. MCCA Approved is a framework for establishing sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion (“DEI”) strategy focused on actionable solutions for law firms and corporate legal departments. It is distinguishable from other diversity initiatives because it is focused on identifying systemic challenges in recruiting, retaining and promoting diverse attorneys, which are critical to sustainability and have a notable positive impact. The Platinum Seal is MCCA's highest accreditation level, showing that Freshfields meets the required standards which focus on three core area of leadership accountability, business processes and practices and diversity metrics. Examples include:
- Talent management efforts to identify and support high-performing underrepresented attorneys to excel
- Educational courses for leaders and colleagues to sustain DEI progress
- A letter from the Firm Chair outlining their commitment to effective and sustainable DEI strategies that support the recruitment, retention and promotion of diverse employees and a commitment to make corporate America as diverse as the world we live in.
