Freshfields advises banks on €1.5 billion ESG-linked financing for Brenntag

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised the banks on a €1.5 billion syndicated financing for Brenntag SE (‘Brenntag’). The financing is provided by an international banking syndicate and has a tenor of five years. The credit facility comprises of two facilities, a €1 billion multicurrency facility as well as a $525 million facility. The interest conditions of the credit facility were also linked to the achievement of quantitative ESG criteria.

Freshfields advised the banks on all legal aspects of the financing.
