Freshfields guided bp to the closing of its all-cash acquisition of NYSE listed Archaea Energy Inc. The transaction was announced in October 2022, and closed on December 28, 2022 following the receipt of regulatory and Archaea Energy shareholder approvals. The acquisition of Archaea Energy, a leading provider of renewable natural gas (RNG) in the US, marks a milestone in the growth of bp’s strategic bioenergy business.
