Freshfields is representing Professor and former SEC Commissioner Joseph A. Grundfest (Stanford Law School) and Professor Mohsen Manesh (University of Oregon School of Law) in asking an en banc panel of the Ninth Circuit to reject implied derivative rights of action under Section 14(a) of the federal Exchange Act in the matter of Lee v. Fisher, et al.
