Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) advised Münchener Hypothekenbank on the issuance of an additional tier 1 bond in the aggregate principal amount of CHF 75 million.
With the bond, Münchener Hypothekenbank strengthens its regulatory capital base. The bond can only be called for repayment by Münchener Hypothekenbank, for the first time in June 2027. The initial coupon, the payment of which is at the bank's discretion, has been set at 5.75 per annum. The bond was entirely placed with investors in Switzerland by a syndicate of banks comprising Credit Suisse, DZ Bank, UBS and Zürcher Kantonalbank. The bond will be listed in Zurich and Luxembourg.
