Freshfields is advising Dr. Ali Parsa, Founder, CEO and major shareholder of Babylon Holdings Limited (“Babylon”) in connection with Babylon’s proposed merger with Alkuri Global Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: KURI), a special purpose acquisition company. Details of the transaction can be found here.

Babylon is a leading digital-first value-based care company.  The combined entity reflects a $4.2 billion equity valuation, including an estimated $575 million in gross proceeds.  The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021.
