OECD Roundtable on Markets for Corporate Control
Ethan Klingsberg, Partner and Co-Head of U.S. Corporate and M&A, will speak at the OECD Roundtable on Markets for Corporate Control on November 9, 2026, at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
The roundtable is being convened by the OECD Corporate Governance Committee and will bring together senior government officials, securities regulators, policymakers, market participants and corporate governance experts from OECD and G20 jurisdictions to discuss the operation of markets for corporate control and their role in promoting efficient, transparent and fair capital markets.
The discussion will form part of the Committee's ongoing peer review of markets for corporate control across more than 50 OECD and G20 jurisdictions. The roundtable will explore frameworks governing takeovers and shareholder rights, as well as the balance between facilitating efficient market activity and protecting investors from anti-takeover measures that may shield management or boards from accountability.
