London International Disputes Week: Is the current UK securities litigation regime fit for purpose?
Join us for a panel discussion that will look to evaluate the current UK securities litigation regime, more than a decade on from its debut cases, to reflect on whether it is fit for purpose as an investor protection mechanism, delivering access to justice in a proportionate way, or whether change is required and, if so, what the future might look like for s.90/s.90A and Schedule 10A disputes in England & Wales, including in the context of the wider macro-economic and political environment. The panel will look to the securities litigation regimes that exist in other jurisdictions by way of comparison and/or for inspiration, as well as considering recent case law developments in England & Wales and their broader potential impact on the regime as a whole.
