Freshfields attorneys Brock Dahl and Christine Chong will be speaking on the panel “What’s the Deal?: Privacy and AI Trends in M&A and Other Data-Driven Transactions” from 10:10AM - 11:10AM ET at the 2025 Privacy + Security Forum Fall Academy. This workshop will focus on trends and considerations for privacy and data security in mergers, acquisitions, and data-driven transactions. The panel will dive into why privacy professionals are essential for data-driven deals, how to make the most of each stage in the deal process, and the latest trends, including in the areas of AI-related due diligence and planning for post-closing integration.

Across three days, the 2025 Privacy + Security Forum Fall Academy brings together leading voices in law, data cyber, and AI technology for an immersive exploration of today’s most relevant privacy and cybersecurity challenges. This year’s program features a distinguished lineup of legal experts, including practicing attorneys, regulatory specialists, and policymakers who will share insights on emerging legal frameworks, data governance, AI compliance, and cross-border privacy issues. The Academy offers a dynamic platform including rigorous deep-dive sessions that deliver hands-on activities and practical takeaways for conference participants.
