California has set the ambitious goal of achieving 100% renewable energy and zero-carbon electricity by the end of 2045. A huge aspect of the State’s plan to achieve this goal is the successful implementation of offshore wind energy. Given that most of the expertise (upstream and downstream) in offshore wind comes from outside of the States, international arbitrations will surely arise. The panel of speakers will share their respective views and insights on the specifics of those projects. The panel will further discuss the main areas of risk and lessons learned from past projects.
Other speakers on this panel moderated by Giorgio Sassine (Associate, Musick Peeler & Garrett) include Lillian Khoury (Associate, Steptoe), Nathan O’Malley (Partner, Musick Peeler & Garrett), and Paul Kleist (Associate, Cleary Gottlieb).
CIAW is presented by the California Lawyers Association Litigation Section with California Arbitration (CalArb) and includes leading arbitral institutions and organizations from around the world.
