Maria Ziprani is a Senior Associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Trade Group, based in Tokyo.
She specializes in competition/antitrust and regulatory matters, including merger control and FDI reviews for big ticket multi-jurisdictional M&A, and advising on competitor cooperation and distribution issues as well as general competition law compliance. She recently advised a range of clients in the telecom, financial services, private equity, consumer goods, defence, and industrials sectors.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Maria was a senior associate at a global law firm’s London office.
Maria is fluent in English and Italian and knows intermediate level French. She also knows basic Japanese.
