About

Dwayne is an Associate in our antitrust, competition and trade group. His work covers all aspects of UK and EU competition law, including merger control and investigations.

He also advises clients on navigating global foreign investment regimes, including the UK National Security & Investment regime. 

During his time at Freshfields, Dwayne has spent six months on secondment to the firm's Washington, D.C. office in the antitrust, competition and trade team.

Dwayne's experience includes advising: 

  • Yokohama Rubber Co on obtaining unconditional phase I merger approvals from the European Commission and the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for its €2.1bn acquisition of Trelleborg Wheel Systems, a manufacturer of off-highway tyres for agricultural and industrial machinery.
  • Pearson on the sale of its international online program management business, Pearson Online Learning Services, to Regent.
  • Cargill on its $4.5bn acquisition of Nasdaq-listed Sanderson Farms and concurrent combination of Sanderson Farms with privately-held Wayne Farms.
