Fedor is a partner in the energy, transport and infrastructure team at Freshfields with over 20 years of experience advising on major infrastructure, mining and energy transactions worldwide. His practice spans the full lifecycle of projects, from early-stage development through to structuring, financing, construction, and subsequent M&A. He has acted for governments, sponsors and lenders across a wide variety of jurisdictions, with a particular focus on emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
His experience covers a wide spectrum of sectors, including airports, rail, roads and ports, mining, energy (traditional and renewables), water, wastewater, waste-to-energy and social infrastructure. Fedor has played a central role in numerous projects that have reached successful financial close, demonstrating his ability to bring together diverse stakeholders and resolve complex structuring, regulatory and financing issues. His practice spans public-private partnerships (PPPs), project financings and joint ventures. His work covers the negotiation and documentation of complex commercial contracts, including concession arrangements, joint venture structures, EPC and O&M contracts, and project financing arrangements.
In addition to advising on project development and financing, Fedor has substantial expertise in energy & infrastructure-related M&A transactions, representing strategics and financial investors on acquisitions, disposals and refinancing arrangements.
