During her career, she has worked for several years in our Brussels office and was seconded to London. The transaction, a key milestone in the consolidation of the European aviation sector, was cleared by the European Commission after a Phase II investigation.
- Advising a leading European banking group on a landmark cross-border merger involving the acquisition of a major Italian financial institution. The transaction obtained conditional Phase I clearance from the European Commission and was successfully completed within a highly ambitious timeline.
- Advising a major player in the insurance sector on the merger review by the European Commission of the acquisition of a going concern from one of their main competitors in Italy, obtaining unconditional Phase I clearance.
- Providing merger control and foreign investment assistance to a prominent European telecommunications group in connection with the creation of a joint venture with one of its main competitors in Italy. The transaction was cleared in Phase II by the European Commission.
- Advising leading private equity firms on global merger control and foreign direct investment reviews in connection with strategic acquisitions across various sectors, including telecommunications, healthcare, engineering and agri-food.
- Advising a major international insurance group in connection with an investigation launched by the Italian Competition Authority into alleged parallel exclusive contractual agreements with agents by key players in the Italian market, particularly in the motor vehicle liability insurance sector. Following the submission of remedies, the case was closed without a finding of infringement, and no fines were imposed.
- Advising a leading global technology company in connection with an investigation by the Italian Competition Authority concerning alleged refusal to license intellectual property rights under Article 102 TFEU. Following a detailed response to the statement of objections, the case was closed without a finding of infringement.
- Advising a major player in the food-packaging sector in relation to a cartel in the retail food packaging industry, obtaining full immunity from the European Commission.
- Advising a global automotive manufacturer in multiple follow-on damages actions before several Italian courts, arising from alleged anti-competitive conduct established by the European Commission, involving the exchange of commercially sensitive information.
