Thomas is an associate in our global AI, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group, based in Paris.
He advises clients on data protection, cybersecurity and emerging EU regulations, including digital markets and AI regulation, across a wide range of sectors such as telecoms, automotive, banking and e-commerce. His practice includes global data governance, AI deployment, complex IT agreements and cross-border compliance.
Thomas provides integrated support on digital transformation and M&A transactions, and has experience in managing data breaches, ransomware incidents, regulatory investigations and litigations, including proceedings before the CNIL and French criminal courts. He also advises on internal investigations and foreign direct investment matters.
He works closely with our teams in London, Düsseldorf, Vienna, Brussels, Amsterdam and the Silicon Valley, and regularly publishes expert commentary on developments in AI and data protection.
Prior to joining Freshfields in 2023, he gained experience at leading law firms in Paris and at the CNIL. He is admitted to the Paris Bar and fluent in French, English and German.
