Michael is a partner in our Private Capital group. He advises private equity sponsors and strategic investors on the structuring and negotiation of investments and divestitures across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, retail, healthcare, infrastructure, business services, and technology. Michael regularly supports private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on matters related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, financing arrangements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, and other general corporate needs.
In addition to his work in the private sector, Michael advises nonprofit organizations and small businesses in the Boston area on corporate governance and financing matters, and assists individuals in the local community with criminal record sealing.

- Charlesbank Capital Partners in its investment in Park Place Technologies, a leading global third-party maintenance provider, alongside GTCR.

- Berkshire Partners in the acquisition of Accela Inc., a provider of a cloud-based platform of solutions for communities from ABRY Partners.
- Surgery Partners, Inc., a leading publicly-held health care services company, in its acquisition of National Surgical Healthcare, an owner and operator of surgical facilities in partnership with local physicians, from Irving Place Capital, and its related issuance of new preferred stock to Bain Capital.
