Giuliano is a Counsel in our Milan office. He specialises in banking and finance and advises private capital funds, alternative asset managers, companies and financial institutions on credit opportunities and financing transactions.
Giuliano’s practice focuses on Italian domestic and international financing transactions in connection with structured finance, securitisations, asset-based financings and other leveraged transactions. He regularly advises on transactional and advisory financial services regulatory matters, as well as on private capital solutions in distressed scenarios.
Giuliano has been ranked by Chambers & Partners in Italy for three consecutive years as an Up and Coming Individual in Capital Markets: Securitisation. He is described by the legal directory as “a well-regarded lawyer who assists with the management of securitisation programmes and the acquisition of NPL portfolios” and “experienced in advising both local and multinational credit providers”.

Giuliano’s recent finance experience includes advising:
- An international private equity firm in the financing via a bond issuance of the acquisition of a leading provider of software and services to financial institutions across Europe, North America and the Middle East
- A leading international financial investor company in a securitization transaction involving the purchase of a portfolio of loans qualified as performing, non-performing, unlikely to pay and past due
- An Italian company on the issuance of unitranche floating rate PIK toggle notes for the refinancing of a previous bond issuance
- An international bank in the sale of a performing loan receivables portfolio to investors acting through Italian securitisation SPVs
Giuliano’s recent regulatory experience includes advising:
- A major European corporation on regulatory matters related to the implementation of intra-group in-house cash services
- A multinational industrial company in connection with its group restructuring, with specific regard to the scope of application of the payment services exemption applicable to telecommunications operators and compliance with insurance rules
- A major European company indirectly controlling Italian financial institutions in connection with a group restructuring and the obtainment of the relevant authorization from, and post-closing notification to, the Bank of Italy
- A European fintech credit institution in connection with the marketing to customers of a telecommunication mobile service provided by a telecommunication partner
