About
Álvaro is an associate in our M&A and Private Capital department. He specialises in public and private M&A, private equity transactions, company law and corporate governance.
He regularly advises domestic and international clients, including private equity funds, financial institutions and multinational corporates, across a range of sectors in domestic and cross-border transactions. He also advises on joint ventures, restructurings, fund formation and regulatory filings in Spain, as well as on general corporate and governance matters.
Álvaro speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

- Advising Cinven on its €2.9bn acquisition of Idealista, the Spanish real estate classifieds portal.
- Advising Ares Management on the internalisation of its Spanish real estate management platform, including the acquisition of a 49% stake from the incumbent manager and the structuring of co-investment arrangements across five platforms and two fund structures.
- Advising Naturgy on (i) its €3.2bn self-tender offer for its own shares; and (ii) a bilateral sale and accelerated bookbuilding of shares worth €1.4bn.
- Advising HBX Group, the travel technology group, on its IPO, valuing the company at c.€3bn.
- Advising Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, as financial advisers to Banco Sabadell, on (i) BBVA's public takeover bid; and (ii) the €3.3bn sale of TSB bank.
