About
Thilo is an associate in our Frankfurt office. He specialises in national and international finance law. His focus is on corporate and acquisition finance. He advises both lenders and borrowers.
He graduated with distinction from Queen Mary University of London with a master of laws in banking and finance law and prior to starting at Freshfields in November 2024, he worked in finance law at prestigious law firms in Munich and Paris.
He speaks English, French, Italian and German.

- Advising Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA on a €400m loan by the European Investment Bank.
- Advising BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG on the refinancing of its existing facilities and the implementation of a new syndicated loan facility.
- Advising Näder Holding GmbH & Co. KG in connection with the IPO of Ottobock and the refinancing transaction relating thereto.
- Advising Vonovia SE in connection with its €3bn RCF financing.
- Advising Grammer Aktiengesellschaft on its group financing, incl. on a new €80m revolving facility and access to the Chinese financing market.
- Advising TeamViewer on the financing of the acquisition of 1E from Carlyle.
- Advising Infineon Technologies AG on the financing of the purchase price for the acquisition of the automotive Ethernet business of US-based tech company Marvell Technology, Inc.
- Advising Schön Klinik SE on a €865 million refinancing transaction, consisting of a term loan B upsize and RCF financing.
- Advising Hayfin Capital Management in connection with a senior / super senior refinancing of the existing indebtedness of Kalle Group by way of €165m and $137m multicurrency loans.
- Advising the creditors of the German automotive supplier HUF in connection with an amendment of existing financing arrangements in connection with the entry of an investor.
- Advising Apera as the debt provider on the full refinancing of the Amoena Group's € 49m financing.
