Florian is an associate in our Brussels antitrust, competition and trade group.
His practice covers EU and German competition law with a focus on digital regulation. He advises clients on all aspects of European and German competition law, including cross-border merger control, foreign subsidies regulation, abuse of dominance and state aid.
Florian regularly advises clients on complex cross-border transactions, representing them before the European Commission, the Bundeskartellamt and several other competition authorities. He has a particular focus on the EU's Digital Markets Act, advising clients on compliance with digital platforms regulation. His practice also covers representing international clients in abuse of dominance cases and state aid procedures.
His clients include tech companies, financial institutions, private equity firms and automotive companies.
Prior to joining Freshfields, he clerked at the European Commission (DG COMP) in a unit specializing on antitrust cases in the media sector.
Florian speaks English, German and some French.
