About
Annie Di is an associate in Freshfields’ dispute resolution group based in New York, where she focuses her practice on international investment and commercial arbitration.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Annie was a diplomat and a lead trade negotiator for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In that role, she represented New Zealand in multiple free trade agreements and at the World Trade Organization. Her diplomatic experience also includes serving as an advisor for the Permanent Mission of New Zealand to the United Nations, advising on UN Security Council matters and on nuclear proliferation issues.
Annie has worked at ICSID, assisting the secretariat and tribunals with investment arbitration cases. She has also developed research on international geopolitical and socio-economic issues for the Council on Foreign Relations.
Annie earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School. She also holds a B.A./M.A. in Politics and French Language and Literature from New York University.
