About
Nicolas is an Associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Trade practice group.
He advises on all areas of European and German competition law, including merger control, antitrust, digital regulation, state aid, as well as foreign investment regulation.
During his traineeship, Nicolas worked at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin (Legal Division), in the Brussels and Berlin offices of Freshfields (ACT practice group), and at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg (Chambers of Advocate General Saugmandsgaard Øe).
Prior to joining the team, he was a Research Fellow at a Graduate Research Training Group for European Law (‘DynamInt’) at Humboldt University Berlin.
Nicolas speaks German, French, English and Serbo-Croatian.

- A classifieds platform on various antitrust and merger control aspects.
- Evonik on various antitrust questions regarding cooperations in the chemical sector.
- A US listed company on the multi-jurisdictional merger control and foreign direct investment aspects of the acquisition of a European target.
- A global technology company on the EU Digital Markets Act as well as on proceedings under Section 19a of the German Competition Act
- A private equity fonds on German merger control aspects of an acquisition in the chemicals sector.
