Laurent De Cannière

Laurent is an associate in our antitrust, competition and trade group, based in the Brussels office. 

His practice focuses on all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control proceedings, antitrust investigations, and digital regulation.

Since joining Freshfields, Laurent has developed a particular focus on advising on platform regulation, including the EU’s Digital Markets Act and Japan’s Smartphone Act.

Laurent is a member of the Brussels Bar and works in English, French, and Dutch.
