About
Xiaoguang is counsel in our Global M&A and Capital practice.
He specialises in cross-border transactions with a focus on advising Chinese and multinational clients on their investments, including M&A and joint ventures, across a range of industries.
Xiaoguang brings a combination of private practice and in-house experience to his transactional advice. Before rejoining Freshfields in 2023, he spent almost two years as M&A Senior Lead at Zalando SE, a European e-commerce and technology group, where he was responsible, inter alia, for the company's venture investments & M&A activities. In this role, he held the pen on Zalando's acquisition of Highsnobiety, the global fashion, culture and media platform.
Xiaoguang is admitted to practise law in Germany and based in Berlin, having previously worked in our Shanghai office. He speaks German, English and Mandarin.
