April Barton

April is an international associate in our Washington, DC office.

April specializes in investment arbitration, public international law, and international commercial arbitration. She has advised clients across a range of industries, including the energy, technology, and financial services. April also maintains an active pro bono practice.

Before joining Freshfields, April worked at a leading disputes and investigations firm in Australia.

April holds an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree from Columbia Law School, where she graduated with High Honors. She also holds a combined LL.B degree in Law and International and Global Studies from the University of Sydney.

April is admitted to practice in Australia.
