Curtley is an associate in the Corporate Finance team of our Global Transactions practice in London.
Curtley specialises in banking and debt finance law with experience advising on a range of complex cross-border finance transactions. This includes real estate finance, syndicated and bilateral loan facilities, general corporate financings and other debt products. He acts for sponsors, banks and corporate clients across a variety of sectors.
During his time at Freshfields, Curtley has spent time on secondment to the legal team at Goldman Sachs, covering a wide range of finance transactions throughout the EMEA region and worldwide.

- Advising Marston’s PLC on all legal aspects of its financing arrangements.
- Advising M&G Investments as mezzanine lender in respect of a warehouse financing for Tradeplus24, an SME/trade receivables lender operating in the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia together with a related balance sheet financing facility and warrants subscription.
- Advising ICG on the acquisition-linked financing of Morrisons’ distribution facilities.
- Advising Fuller, Smith & Turner Plc on their corporate financing requirements.
- Advising Cross Ocean Partners on the financing of a major UK holiday park business and a subsequent lender enforcement process.
- Advising an arranger of a cross-border securitisation financing of inventory for a leading diamond company.
- Advising Pepco Group N.V. on its €375m bond launch and related financing activities.
- Advising Save the Children International on financing arrangements within the organisation.
